The Smyth FF-280 4D thread sewing machine stands for high-quality bookbinding: high strength and a durable bond with a wide variety of paper types, and very good opening characteristics of the book block.
The highlight is the patented 4D feeder of the Smyth FF-280 4D thread sewing machine. It transports the sheets at only 50% of the speed compared with feeders with sequential sheet transport. This provides 100% more time for sheet opening in the 4D feeder, making this process significantly more stable and reliable. In addition, the 4D feeder’s short setup time and exceptional versatility give the Smyth FF-280 4D thread sewing machine a wide range of applications.
The Smyth FF-280 4D thread sewing machine can optionally be equipped with an automatic book stacker, a sheet sequence inspection system, a gauze station or a gluing unit.
