Sustainability and resource conservation are becoming increasingly important in print finishing. At PPL, we focus on concrete solutions and measures with demonstrable results that also pay off economically. Refurbishing used machinery is a good example of a circular economy in practice and makes a significant contribution to avoiding unnecessary waste. Furthermore, it reduces a company’s carbon footprint, as the production of new machinery involves high resource consumption.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

In the rarest of cases are older post-press machines truly “broken down.” Rather, after replacing worn parts and undergoing a complete overhaul, they are often just as efficient as new machines \u2013 even though manufacturers frequently claim otherwise. We also acquire many used machines in good condition. Their previous owners didn’t dispose of them because they were dissatisfied with their performance \u2013 but usually due to business closure or a realignment of their value chain.<\/p>\n

However, these are far from the only arguments in favor of buying used machines:<\/p>\n
